Yoga is for everyone and anyone can benefit from it. You do not need to be an athlete or a dancer to do, teach or enjoy yoga. Yoga is a complete human potential technology integrating yoga postures and meditation with lifestyle suggestions and practices for emotional healing and spiritual expansion. Because it is a preventative practice which integrates spirituality and health, yoga has become widely practiced and utilized – the need for qualified instructors is expanding rapidly.

Traditionally, revered yoga instructors were those who taught by example – their lives were an embodiment of the principles of yoga – wisdom, clarity, intuition, serenity, courage and a commitment to service. They often worked individually with students. They came from all walks of life and careers. The Subtle Yoga Training and Personal Transformation Program offers you the opportunity to become this kind of teacher, formally or informally – to exemplify and to learn to share yoga with others from the deepest part of your being.

The program will help you balance knowing, being and doing, balance external and internal learning, and develop an explicit understanding of a learning process which you can use for the rest of your life. The world needs yoga teachers who possess a deep self-knowledge and radiate a commitment to service. During this program you will unveil the depths of your spirit in order to authentically hold and transmit this ancient wisdom tradition.

Kristine Kaoverii Weber, the founder of Subtle Yoga, has been teaching since 1995. Eric Seiler and Marek Sawicki have also been teaching since the 90s – this power team of master instructors will provide you with an unparalleled training experience!

TESTIMONIALS

See What Past Participants Are Saying!

Thank you!. I have learned so much from you and because of you; the training you give us lasts far longer than the time we get to spend with you. That part of the program is beyond price. Om Shanti with all my heart.

Rebecca Caudill, Greenville, SC, Subtle Yoga RYT200 and RYT500 grad

This program has taught me more practical tools for my own life, and for my clients that I ever could have imagined! I learned more in this program than I did from an elite liberal arts education. This program was the most productive, valuable, practical and magical year of my academic life.

Cait Klein, Subtle Yoga RYT500, Davidson, NC

This training has awakened something truer in me than I ever knew, even with all of the self-studies and introspective work I’ve done throughout my life…I begin to embark on a clearer, more authentic path-  wherever it leads me.  I’ve sunk into my bones, and I’m more grounded in who I am.

Lisa Rough, Subtle Yoga RYT200 grad, Asheville, NC

Kristine’s professional insights and knowledge of the therapeutic application of yoga principles and practices is vast and compelling.  She is able to skillfully convey the information in a way that is both engaging and informative as well as thought provoking.  I’ve learned so much about yoga as prevention for disease of all kinds and feel that yoga is (once again) the new medicine for mind/body and spirit.  This training is comprehensive and based on current best evidence as well as progressive with an eye on future trends in public healthcare.  I am inspired by the Subtle Yoga Therapeutic Yoga Teacher Training.  I feel confident, well-prepared and highly enthusiastic to take my training into the world to serve those who need it most and might not otherwise step into a yoga studio.

Margaret Kirshner, Asheville, NC

I loved all the different aspects of yoga that were covered. I felt that this program really went in depth in areas that were not covered in my basic trainings – specifically the chakra weekend, the philosophy and theories, ayurveda, special conditions and mental health – I loved all the information on addiction, mental health and public health.

Robin Fann-Costanza

Over the time spent in the classroom environment, in homework, personal practice, or teaching students, I have become more physically fit, and also more mentally fit. I have also learned that my prior yoga experience since 1998 was solely focused on the asana aspect of Yoga, with very little attention to or even knowledge of the larger body that is Yoga. My own knowledge of the broader aspects of Yoga has grown considerably. I now understand that Mind/Body connections can be strengthened, or built with the more subtle parts of Yoga, in particular, meditation and visualization.

JD Clayton

RYT200, Knoxville, TN

This program is incredibly beneficial and I feel I can flourish with its knowledge. I now have a comprehensive understanding of both the subtle and physical ways that yoga therapy works holistically. I am deeply grateful.

Margaret Kirschner

Overall, I am a very body-oriented teacher. I geek out on anatomy and physiology, and so I love to help people find the version of the physical pose that works best for them. But now I can do this with so much more knowledge than just some anatomy. And I honestly feel like they leave feeling more confident than when they arrived. It’s like the trust in their own bodies grows, and I can see it happening, and they come to me and are so excited to tell me how they’ve taken their practice off the mat and into the garden, or the grocery store. This part makes me so incredibly happy. Hearing a student tell me that they are less afraid, less timid, more confident, more trusting in themselves – that’s the part that keeps me teaching and wanting to learn.

Katie Burrus

RYT500, Huntsville, AL

I am very comfortable with what I have to offer — whether in a class setting or working with individuals.  While I will continue to deepen my understanding and my education, knowledge,  I am more confident that the ways in which I do what I do will help heal those who are interested.

Diane McCabe

C-IAYT, e-RYT500, Virginia Beach, VA

The way I see yoga, as a lifestyle, has been transformative. The changes I have made as a result of what I have learned through SY have been subtle (no pun intended) and cumulative over time. This means the changes are lasting. Ayurvedic concepts have helped me understand my physical and energetic needs and expressions in a way that made me a truer expert on myself. When you own that kind of personal knowledge you can facilitate others’ quest for the same understanding of self.
